WARRANTY INFORMATION
MOTOWORKS warranties all exhaust systems for two years from the date of purchase for all manufacturing defects.
There is no warranty on exhaust pipes and mufflers with regard to any form of discoloration. Discoloration and bluing are caused by tuning characteristics (i.e. cam timing, carburetor jetting, over heating due to lack of packing and incorrect fuel/air mixture) and is not caused by a defect in manufacturing. MOTOWORKS will not cover any item under warranty without valid proof of purchase.
If any MOTOWORKS carbon fiber canister starts to discolor or blemish in any way, arrangements must be made immediately to return the canister for inspection. Do not wait to cause further damage to the canister and void the warranty. This policy will be STRICTLY enforced due to the cost of carbon fiber. Damage resulting from impact will not be covered under warranty for any reason.
Any exhaust system sent to us without a copy of the warranty submission information (found below) inside the box will be refused by our shipping department. MOTOWORKS does not warranty the cost of shipping to MOTOWORKS This includes and is not limited to duties, taxes and other transportation costs. Any package shipped to us with unpaid duties will be refused.
MOTOWORKS will contact the customer once the package has been received and inspected by the warranty manager. At that time, the customer will be contacted and advised of the warranty status. If the exhaust is not covered under warranty, the customer will be advised on repair cost. The time frame for warranty work is dependent on the current production schedule and can take up to 15 days.
WARRANTY TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The MOTOWORKS 2-year limited warranty applies to manufacturing defects only. Any exhaust that is damaged by misuse, incorrect installation, modification, incorrect air/fuel mixture, impact or crash damage will not be covered by the warranty. Any exhaust that is not covered by the warranty can be repaired by MOTOWORKS at the customers expense.
Shipping damage must be reported to MOTOWORKS within 1 week of receipt. Shipping damage is not the responsibility of MOTOWORKS. MOTOWORKS will assist you in filing a claim with the shipper so you may be reimbursed for the damage.
MOTOWORKS will not be responsible for any damage caused to the exhaust or any other component due to incorrect air/fuel mixture. It is the end customers responsibility to ensure that their machine is properly tuned.
All exhaust must be free of all mud & debris or a $30 cleaning fee will be charged.
Shipping Notes:
You only need to ship the damaged components of your exhaust. Removing turndowns, midpipes, etc. will reduce package size and shipping costs. If you have any questions about what is required for warranty or repair, please contact us.
WARRANTY SUBMISSION
To submit a warranty claim, send us an email containing the following info below and mail a printed copy along with your proof of purchase. Warranty shipments without this info included will not be accepted.
